Pediatric dentistry, or pediatric dentistry is a branch of dentistry that is responsible for treating children. The dentist will therefore commissioned to explore and treat the patient. It is important to keep the temporary works until exfoliation of them occurring by permanent, so they should be treated in all cases without exception and if we lose any part, however temporary, we

take steps to prevent movement of other pieces.

Space maintainers can be of two removable and fixed rates.

Removable maintainers are passive acrylic plates that are held in the mouth with retainers (Adams, hooks ball or circumferential) is usually placed a vestibular arch and acrylic itself that relying on adjacent pieces to loss, avoid displacement of them. Removable maintainers are more annoying than fixed and also the patients can take when they want and thus may lose effectiveness. We can place in a tooth or removable maintainer missing teeth whereby besides maintaining the space momentarily solved the aesthetic appearance.

Fixed maintainers are devices that consist of a crown or a steel band and a wire is welded to it, so that the wire is resting on the previous piece. The band or crown is cemented on the back part and the tooth movement of both parts is avoided.
